As the type across the bottom might suggest, this was taken at Sunshine Village ski resort earlier this year on my GAP year in the great white north. We'd gotten in free to Sunshine thanks to our handy staff passes and got there while it was still dark thanks to some contacts amongst the staff. We were literally the first ones up the mountain that day, taking the Gondola up to the summit seeing the first rays of light peeking over Delirium Dive and getting ever more excited - the resort we worked at was more or less a racing hill (Nakiska for those who are interested)and getting some serious backcountry in at Sunshine had been a beacon for a while. Once off of the Gondola it was a race to the nearest ski lift just as the sun was rising, not even stopping to starp on our boards. We got to the summit just as the sun came over the mountains. My camera says this was 7:11am, and if I remember correctly about 25 below.

The figure in the foreground is 'Shtoph, and he is completely unaware I took this photo. I suppose I'll email it to him in Oz. The colours were adjusted slightly in Photoshop 6.
